Opis
Sažetak:Lipopolyplexes, the multicomponent formulation, were successfully developed and delivered using modern physical force i.e., ultrasound and light. The obtained results were promising for improved in-vitro gene transfer in cancer cells. Both formulations exhibited encapsulation of the nucleic acid and displayed physicochemical characteristics ideal for cellular internalization via passive targeting. The ultrasound improves the transfection efficiency while remaining non-toxic to cancer cells. On other hand, photosensitizer loaded lipopolyplexes, promises an efficient gene transfer by photochemical internalization while also exhibiting photosensitizer induced cytotoxicity by photodynamic activity of photosensitizer. In summary, both gene delivery systems are excellent for effective in vitro gene transfer for tumor therapy.
