In the scope of this work, reaction behaviour of the β-Diketiminate complex (Dipp2NacNac)Ga against the element-hydrogencompounds of group 15 was investigated. As a basis, the reactions with the simplest hydrides EH3 (E = pnictogen element) were carried out. Furthermore, reactions with a row of primary and secondary group compounds 15 from nitrogen to bismuth were investigated. In a second part, development of a good accessible reaction route for the formation of dihydrogenantimonides of the type MSbH2 (M = alkali metal) became focus of this project. The obtained compounds for M = Na to Cs showed a good stability at temperatures around −78 °C which allowed its in situ reaction with (Me3Si)3SiCl to form the first primary silyl stibane HypSbH2. In conclusion, present results show that working with unstable group 15 hydrides is possible by the use of appropriate capture reagents or huge stabilizing silyl groups. Required apparatures can be compilated by basic glass equipment and offer good opportunities for the transmission to further syntheses of stibanes and to reactions that were exclusively opened to the lighter homologues of group 15 up to now.
