The mastery of which subskill plays a more important role for the language acceptance in the L1 society, the grammar or the pronunciation? Is the tolerance of native speakers different by various types of errors? The answer to these questions, which is elaborated in my dissertation by an empirical study of the reaction of German native speakers to various grammatical and phonological speech errors of a migrant, is intended to provide information on how spoken errors are to be weighted in terms of their negative effect on German recipients. This classification should, above all, enable GFL teachers and learners to develop priority for the correction of errors.
