Der vorliegende Aufsatz stellt eine zusammenfassende Abhandlung über die medizinischen Anwendungen von "Chalybs" im 17. Jahrhundert dar, einem auf verschiedene Weise gewonnenen Eisen-Präparat, gegen verschiedene Erkrankungen, mit besonderem Bezug auf die Arbeiten von Johannes Hartmann und Eberhard Göckel.
