The anthology consists of two parts: The first part deals with the university as an educational space for future teachers. Here, we are interested in how this target group can be prepared for a professional handling of linguistically heterogeneous teaching requirements in line with scientifically founded approaches. In the second part, different dimensions of language teaching in the subjects German, History, Biology and Mathematics will be investigated in detail. Under the premise that the availability of adequately developed linguistic competencies in all subjects counts as a sine qua non for educational success, all contributions deal with individual forms of speech and writing on specific topics as well as with language enhancement activities.
