In his last years Immanuel Kant hase diversely discussed the question: Is the any progress to the better in the developement of mankind. The so called "Krakau Fragment" shows an important turning point on the way to the "struggle of the faculties" (1798). The artikel analyses genesis and structure the Kantian text.
