In this work nano-structured and funcionalized fiber matrices of polymers for applications in the range of Tissue Engineering of bone and muscle as well as Drug Delivery were prepared and analyzed. Polymer fibers were poroduced by the technique of elctrospinning. Amongst others oriented and growth factor-loaded fiber matrices were tested with cell cultures. Furthermore polymer fibers were investigated as a possible carrier system for the pulmonary application of therapeutic DNA- and siRNA-complexes.
