Reorganisationen und Mikropolitik: Eine Analyse am Beispiel eines Baukonzerns

The context of a qualitative empirical research done on a building business demonstrates a new comprehension of alteration-processes within companies. It shows that reorganisation just cannot be planned on the drawing-board and then put into practise without difficulty. The process of restructuring often brings up tensions, dilemmas and catch situations which are the catalyst for micropolitical actions. Taking a closer look at Crozier/Friedberg, Küpper/Ortmann and Giddens empiricism shows that complex diversifications, with the aim of reallocation of resources within a company, lead to intensification of micropolitics. The efficiency of reorganisation is a matter of how efficient micropolitics is. It cannot be understood isolated but only if it is seen as a major part of social interaction within a social system and its specific basic parameters. This thesis arrives at the conclusion that the process of alteration cannot be done successfully without considering actor- and structural theoretical concepts. Only a synopsis of these approaches gives us a better understanding of the ambiguities and paradox organisational happenings they have although they seem to be illogical at first glance.
