Summary:
Abstract There are a lot of examples and
contradictory results concerning influence of low intensity
laser irradiation (LILI) on biological objects. In this work
with a number of experiments the influence of LILI on different
biological systems was investigated. For the carried out
experiments the following biological objects and systems were
used: * different enzymes of anti-oxidant system of animals
(i.e. catalase, superoxide-dismutase, glutathion-peroxidase,
glutathion-reductase) * Mg2+- and Ca2+-ATPase of membrane from
human erythrocytes; as well as from rats' ones * lactat- and
succinat-dehydrogenase from rat's tissues liver, kidney, brain,
muscle, heart * alpha-amylase from dry and germinated seeds of
barley * manganese-peroxidase from lignin-destroying mushrooms
* dehydrogenase system of yeast * dehydrogenase system of
bacteria The following laser equipment was set up: YAG-Laser
(355 nm and 533 nm), Argon-Laser (458 nm, 488 nm and 520 nm),
Helium-Neon-Laser (632 nm) and CO2-Laser (10.6 µm). Activity of
different enzymatic systems was detected after laser-light
treatment to compare with reading of their activity without
radiation. Depending on laser light intensity, time of
exposition and own properties of system different biological
responses were detected. Besides that the kind of laser (its
wave length) causes a variety of reactions in a
system.
