The question of the idea of ​​Europe in the Republic of Moldova and ideas for national sovereignty, security policy and above all the chances of survival of a small periphery under condition of competition of the major powers for spheres of influence in the Eurasian geopolitical space has for a long been not only of national and local importance, but reached the international level. The decision of the Republic of Moldova to orient its foreign policy will certainly have far-reaching consequences and effects on the policies of other states and on security in the region. These processes, which show and demonstrate 30 years of development since the beginning of the Democratic Movement in the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic, from 1988 to 2018, represent the period of analysis of the present study.
