Within the framework of this thesis an attempt was made to develop ligands for the synthesis of potential SMMs according to the design criteria set by Glaser. The focus was on the incorporation of the Oxime-group and a threefold axis. Three types of ligands were introduced. For each of these ligand types, at least one representative was successfully synthesized and its complex chemistry was investigated.
