Therapy of spinal metastases is difficult, as prognosis of each patient remains unclear. In 1990, Tokuhashi et al. developped a scoring system containing of 6 parameters in order to estimate prognosis of these patients better and to decide on radicality of operative or conservative treatment. Aim of this study was to verify Tokuhashi's score and to find other parameters with correlation with survival time. 151 patients of the universitiy hospital Marburg were included in the study. Correlation between survival and Tokuhashi's score was confirmed. Other parameters affecting survival were not found.
