The first part of dissertation gives a survey on the west-eastern history of the mind-body-problem, emphasizing the deep controversy in science and philosophy in general and particularly in motology: the controversy between - in the tradition either of phenomenology ot physicalism - and cartesian interactionism. The central point of part one is a strong darwinistic argument for mind-body-interactionism, which has been neglected both by dualists and monists for hundred years. The second part tries to show the impact of the unsolved tension between monism and dualism in the four basic methodological strategies of motology.
