This work focuses on the development of functional materials based on polymer nanofibers for applications in plant protection and surface modification. Relevant for both applications Polymer nano- and microfibers were produced by using the method of electrospinning. For plant protection polymerfibers were designed as carriers of specific pest pheromons. The aim is to disorder the communication of pest insects by releasing these pheromons which is known to limit reproduction. For surface modifications the controlled and precised deposition of polymerfibers can be of benefit. To achieve a precise deposition of specific nanofiber pattern an approach named High Precision Deposition Electrospinning (HPDE) is presented.
