Über das Wachstum des Clivus

The goal of this dissertation was to measure the growth rotation of the Clivus and to interpret the results. As a first step, 188 lateral cephalograms of the Marburg skull collection were traced and defined tangents to the cortical bones were constructed. Next, angular measurements were performed between these tangents, and the results were depicted in scatter diagrams with trend curves. The age of the skulls was determined on the basis of dental development and the skulls were divided in seven age groups. The mean angular measurements in all age groups was computed and compared.
