This model demonstrates many of the main important features of the phenotype of human allergic asthma. We could show an ongoing airway inflammation with a process from cetral inflammation in the acute state of the provocation with an allergene to an inflammatory process all over the airway in the chronic state. This model may be able to lead to a better understanding of the pathophysiology of allergic deseases and will demonstrate opportunities to test new drug in mouse models.
