Multiple sclerosis is one of the most frequent diseases of CNS of adults. It causes considerable economic costs. Because of its chronic course rehabilitative treatment of patients with MS aimed almost regularly to retard progression, to improve functional restrictions and to preserve relevant social medical ability. Rehabilitation data of 2126 patient of 1995-2002 have been analysed regarding onset and course of disease, extent and frequency of therapeutical interventions and medical treatment. Besides high patient satisfaction results show clear increase of social medical ability within the setting of rehabilitation.
