The dissertation is concerned with the evidence and regulation of OPG (Osteoprotegerin) and RANKL (Receptor activator of nuclear factor ĸB ligand) in human thyroid cancer cells. The cells used were SW579 (anaplastic), HTC+ and XTC (both follicular). These were stimulated with steroid hormones, drugs and Il-1β and examined by Northern blot and ELISA.
