Study Design: Cervical flexion, extension, bending( left/right) and rotation( left/right) were measured in 29 volunteers between 1995 and 1996, using a ultrasound system( from Zebris®). Objectives: To compare the outcomes two methods( goniometer and Zebris® ultrasound system) of measurement of cervical flexion, extension, bending( left/right) and rotation( left/right). Methods: 29 asymptomatic volunteers , three dynamic range of motion were measured. 1. Cervical rotation( left/right) with the cervical extension/ flexion and cervical bending( left/right) inside the rotation. 2. Cervical extension with the cervical flexion and cervical bending( left/right) inside the extension. 3. Cervical bending( left/right) with the cervical extension/ flexion and cervical rotation inside the bending. Results: There are significant differences for all movement between the normal goniometer and the Zebris® system. The Zebris® system is easy to learn. The system is very exactly and it`s and good system to complete and computer scan.
