This study about disability and parenthood tries to find answers to following questions: - which discriminations and barrieres do parents with different disabilities face in their everyday life? - what kind of support to they need? - which solutions did they find to solve every day problems? - which kind of access do disabled parents have to personal assistance and technical aid? The author realized 12 interviews with parents who have different disabilities. She also did a national survey with disabled mothers about their needs of technical aid and personal assistance. The book shows a lot of Barrieres and discrimination in everyday life of disabled parents, but it also shows the power and a wide spectrum of individuell problem solving solutions. A main result is: If parents with different have the possibility to get the support they need, than they can live a satisfieing parenthood.
