Summary: | Our intend was to determine a scheme of reactivity of nitrils acidic protons (C-H) at the presence of the trimethylmethalan. For example in the reaction between InMe3 and CH3CN the gas (CH4) is released slowly, but in the presence of CsF, it is much faster. This proved, catalized trimerization of acetonitril leads to formation of metaldiazin with a acceptable/good efficiency. But substitution of phenyl groups causes variation in the nitrils acidity and also reactivity.
The specific reactions of PhCH2CN and Ph2CHCN, two acetonitrils deriatives with phenyl groups substituents, were studied. In the first case, InMe3 and PhCH2CN with 1:3 ratio was reacted and gas releasing was observed with the timerization. However the main structure formed different from metaldiazin. The reason is that, there are two protons per every nitril molecule to be removed. The reaction of InMe3 with Ph2CHCN under the same conditions as previous reaction proceed just until the formation of four membered ring from two In and two N atomes with the keten imine main structure . Such reactions are also possible with GaMe3. another possibility for producing the intended products is substituion of Ph2CHCNs proton with lithium and then reacting this with Me2GaCl or Me2InCl.
Other reaction also between nitrils, isonitrils (Lewis acid) and As,and Ps Li salts (lewis base) lead to interesting results. These reactions have been discusssed in details in the thesis.
Our final work includes reactions for producing In, As cages structures.
In another part of investigation, we attemped to use of [Me2M{HNC(Me)}2C(CN)] Heteocyle as the 6-electron system to provide sandwichal or half-sandwichal compounds of Mo and Co. |
