William Kynan-Wilson
is Assistant Professor in Early Modern History at Aalborg University, Denmark. He has published widely on travel texts and images relating to the Ottoman Mediterranean. He is currently writing a monograph on the history of the Ottoman costume album from the sixteenth century to the nineteenth century.
