Political Temporalities of Youth

is a post-doctoral research fellow at in the research network ReConfigurations at the Center for Near and Middle Eastern Studies at Philipps-Universität Marburg. As a sociologist, his research focusses on youth, intergenerational relations, political participation and political socialization, gender, and collective memory. His current empirical focus are intergenerational relationships in social movements in Morocco and Spain.

is a professor of sociology at Philipps-Universität Marburg (Germany), an associate researcher at GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies, and a member ‘Re-Configurations’ research network at the CNMS (Center for Near and Middle-Eastern Studies). Her research interests include comparative area studies, transitional justice and peace research, and youth studies. She has published widely on the public perception of youth and (in-)security, with empirical focus on Central America.
