Zusammenfassung:
Im Rahmen einer Bulimia Nervosa sind häufig Symptome zu beobachten, die auch Teil einer Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit-/Hyperaktivitätsstörung (ADHS) sein könnten. Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Studie wurden Patientinnen mit bulimischer Essstörung detailliert auf das Vorliegen von Symptomen der ADHS untersucht. Verschiedene Aufmerksamkeitsparameter wurden zwischen Patientinnen und einer gesunden Kontrollgruppe verglichen. Mit neuropsychologischen Tests wurden auch Aufmerk-samkeitskomponenten geprüft, die bei ADHS-Patienten häufig gestört sind und bei der Steuerung des Essverhaltens von Bedeutung sein könnten. Außerdem wurde die Häufigkeit anderer komorbid auftretender psychischer Störungen und Persönlich-keitsstörungen erfasst. Es zeigte sich, dass Bulimia nervosa Patientinnen ca. doppelt so häufig an ADHS leiden wie Frauen der Normalbevölkerung. Zusätzlich leiden sehr viele Patientinnen im Rahmen ihrer Essstörung unter großen subjektiven Aufmerksamkeitseinbußen, die auf symptomatischer Ebene durchaus einer ADHS gleichkommen. Bei den neuro-psychologischen Testleistungen ließen sich bei den Patientinnen im Vergleich zu gesunden Kontrollpersonen keine nennenswerten Einschränkungen feststellen. Eine besonders hohe relative Häufigkeit von ADHS unter Patientinnen mit komorbider Borderline Persönlichkeitsstörung wirft die Frage auf, ob die erhöhte Häufigkeit von ADHS bei Bulimia nervosa Patientinnen auf die hohe Komorbidität von Borderline Persönlichkeitsstörungen zurückzuführen ist. In weiteren Studien sollte genauer untersucht werden, ob die Bereitschaft, impulsiv zu handeln, wenn negative Emotionen erlebt werden, nicht nur ein Risikofaktor für alle drei Krankheitsbilder darstellt, sondern auch für einen spezifischen Zusammenhang zwischen ADHS, Borderline Persönlichkeitsstörung und Bulimia nervosa von Bedeutung ist.
